Is Hospice Covered by Medicare?
Yes—Medicare covers hospice for eligible patients in Utah when a doctor certifies a life-limiting illness and you choose comfort-focused care instead of curative treatment.

Can hospice be provided at home?

Hospice physicians review medications and continues those that support comfort and relief. Medications meant to cure the terminal illness are usually not part of the hospice plan.
Can we keep our doctor?
Often, yes. You can keep your doctor involved as your attending physician, while the hospice team supports and coordinates care.
What if we are not ready yet?
