With Halloween just around the corner, it’s time to add a touch of spooky charm to your decorations. These DIY craft ghosts are not only easy to make but also incredibly versatile. Let’s dive into this fun project!
Materials You’ll Need:
- Round white tablecloth (2)
- Tomato cage
- White Styrofoam ball
- Black felt
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- String lights
Steps:
- Prepare the Tomato Cage: Flip the tomato cage upside-down so the pokey ends are pointed up.
- Position the Styrofoam ball: Stick the pokey ends of the tomato cage into the Styrofoam ball. The ball should be the head of your ghost.
- Hang the string lights: Weave your string lights through the tomato cage – try to keep them in the middle if you can.
- Drape the tablecloths: Center the tablecloths over the Styrofoam ball and gently drape them on top. I’d add a pin on top to help keep them from blowing away if you put the ghosts outside.
- Personalize your Ghost: Use your scissors to cut the black felt into two ovals. If you want, you can cut another oval to be the mouth. Use your hot glue gun to attach your felt as desired.
- Repeat: Feel free to make as many ghosts as you want! I made two and put them on either side of my front door.
- Set Up Your Display: Arrange your craft ghosts wherever you’d like! They make beautiful decorations, indoors or outdoors!
With these simple steps, you’ll have a collection of charming DIY craft ghosts ready to haunt your Halloween decor. Whether you’re looking to spookify your home or add a playful touch to a party, these little spirits are sure to delight all who encounter them. Happy crafting!
